Sarvodaya Vidyalaya Inaugurates Arts Club with Enthusiasm and Creative Spirit
Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, Mar Ivanios Vidya Nagar, Nalanchira, officially inaugurated its Arts Club on 2 July 2026 at the Mar Gregorios Auditorium, ushering in a new academic year of artistic exploration and cultural excellence. The event celebrated the importance of the arts in nurturing creativity, confidence, teamwork, and self-expression among students.
The programme began with a prayer song by the school choir, followed by a warm welcome by Ms. Navaneetha S., School Prefect. The function was presided over by Mr. John Kurian, Principal, who encouraged students to actively participate in the arts and make the most of the opportunities offered through the club.
The inaugural address was delivered by renowned playback singer Smt. Daleema Jojo, a celebrated vocalist known for her soulful renditions in Malayalam cinema and devotional music. Sharing her inspiring journey in the world of music, she encouraged students to pursue their passions with dedication, discipline, and perseverance. She reminded them that true success is achieved through consistent effort and hard work, while also emphasizing the importance of remaining humble, grateful, and committed to continuous learning.
The ceremonial lighting of the lamp marked the formal inauguration of the Arts Club. Rev. Fr. John Muruppel, Procurator of the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum, offered his felicitations, highlighting the role of art in shaping character, fostering values, and bringing people together.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mstr. Rehan Nizamudeen, Vice Captain, and was followed by a vibrant array of cultural performances by the students. The colourful presentations reflected the remarkable artistic talents of the young performers and set the stage for a year of creativity, innovation, and cultural enrichment at Sarvodaya Vidyalaya.
