Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, Nalanchira, celebrated the spirit and cultural splendour of Onam through “Sarvona Pulari 2026”, held on 21 August 2026 at the school campus.

The celebration commenced at 9.00 a.m. with a colourful cultural procession, bringing alive the rich traditions and festive spirit of Kerala.

B. R. Deviprasad Nair, Head Girl, delivered the welcome address. Mr. John Kurian, Principal, presided over the programme, while Mr. V. V. Rajesh, Mayor of Thiruvananthapuram Corporation, formally inaugurated the celebrations.

The occasion was graced by Mr. Arun Kumar, cine actor, and Rev. Fr. Abraham Uzhathil, Bursar, who extended their Onam greetings. Mrs. Terine Joseph, Vice Principal, also conveyed her wishes to the gathering.

Adding colour and excitement to the festivities, various cultural programmes were presented by the students, showcasing their talents while celebrating Kerala’s rich cultural heritage. A range of fun-filled competitions was also organised as part of the celebrations. The Tug of War competition among the students was a major attraction, drawing enthusiastic participation and spirited cheering from the audience.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Rayyan A. R., Head Boy.

Sarvona Pulari 2026 turned the school campus into a vibrant celebration of tradition, talent, camaraderie and togetherness, capturing the true spirit of Onam.
