Nation First, Always First - 75th Independence Day Celebrations

The Independence Day has a great importance in every citizen’s life. This day reminds us every year that freedom is sacred and citizens must do everything to ensure that it shall not be endangered.

Sarvodaya Vidyalaya celebrated the completion of 75th yeàr of  Independence on 15 August 2022 with great patriotic fervour and zeal, a momentous milestone in the journey of India since attaining freedom in 1947. All the staff members of the school and parents of the students were present there to attend the memorable ceremony with full enthusiasm. A parade was organised which was led by NCC cadets. The respected Principal of the school Dr. James T Joseph unfurled the flag at 8.30am. Everyone sang the National Anthem. He gave a very motivational and patriotic speech by urging the students to realise, understand and cherish our coveted freedom.

The Bursar Rev Fr Koshy Chirakkarottu extended his warm greetings to the teachers, students and parents on the occasion. He advised the students to become the ideal citizens of the country.

This entailed a short celebration including an in-depth speech delivered by a Scout cadet with passion on how we got the freedom, a patriotic group song and a dance by the students. At the end of the ceremony, sweets were distributed. A sense of pride and happiness could be seen on the faces of everyone present there.
