Empowering Young Minds: Sarvodaya Vidyalaya Hosts Kid Glove Cyber Safety Initiative

Sarvodaya Vidyalaya recently organized a comprehensive cyber safety awareness session under the state government’s Kid Glove Project, reinforcing its commitment to fostering secure digital spaces for students. The program focused on educating young netizens about digital literacy, privacy protection, and ethical online conduct.

The ceremony was graced by Sri O. J. Janeesh, the Hon’ble Minister for Youth Welfare, Sports and Registration, Government of Kerala, who served as Chief Guest and distributed official safety badges to student ambassadors. In his address, the Minister emphasized the vital role of self-discipline, vigilance, and awareness in navigating today’s hyper-connected world.

Shri Santhosh Kumar, ACP, Cyber Security Wing, addressed the assembly with an insightful keynote, offering practical guidelines on identifying cyber threats, safeguarding personal credentials, and reporting digital harassment.

The school leadership was present to support the initiative, led by Principal Mr. John Kurian and Bursar Rev. Fr. Abraham Uzhathil, who welcomed the dignitaries and reiterated the institution’s commitment to equipping students with both academic excellence and practical life skills for the digital age.
