Sarvodaya Vidyalaya Observes 54th Founder’s Day!
Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, Thiruvananthapuram, solemnly observed its 54th Founder’s Day on Friday, 9 October 2026, commemorating the 32nd death anniversary of its revered founder, Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios.
The occasion was a heartfelt tribute to the memory, vision and enduring legacy of the great visionary whose commitment to education, compassion and service to humanity laid the foundation for the institution.
The commemorative programme, held at Mar Gregorios Auditorium, featured a presidential address by Mr. John Kurian, Principal of Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, followed by a commemorative speech and keynote address by Rev. Fr. Dr. Titus John Cheravallil OIC, Director, Bethany Navajeevan College of Physiotherapy.
The observance provided an opportunity for the Sarvodaya community to reflect upon the invaluable contributions of Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios, whose vision of education extended beyond academic excellence to encompass moral integrity, spiritual values and social responsibility.
His ideals continue to inspire the institution in its mission of nurturing responsible, compassionate and enlightened individuals.
Under the theme “Gratitude for the Past, Inspiration for the Future,” the solemn observance reaffirmed Sarvodaya Vidyalaya’s commitment to preserving the founder’s noble legacy and carrying forward his timeless vision for generations to come.
