Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, Mar Ivanios Vidyanagar, Nalanchira, celebrated academic excellence with “Excellentia 2K26 – Merit Day” on 9 July 2026 at the Mar Gregorios Auditorium. The prestigious event was organised to honour the outstanding achievements of students who excelled in academics and co-curricular pursuits during the academic year.

The programme commenced with a prayer song by the School Choir, followed by the welcome address delivered by Rev. Fr. Abraham Uzhathil, Bursar of Sarvodaya Vidyalaya. Mr. John Kurian, Principal, delivered the Presidential Address, congratulating the award recipients for their hard work, perseverance, and commitment to excellence.

The gathering was blessed by the Benedictory Address of His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Yoohanon Mar Alexios, Auxiliary Bishop of the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum, who inspired the students to pursue knowledge with humility, dedication, and strong values. A soulful musical performance by Ms. Esha Theresa Renji added to the grandeur of the occasion.

The highlight of the programme was the Prize Distribution Ceremony, during which meritorious students were felicitated for their exceptional accomplishments. Mrs. Terine Joseph, Vice Principal also was present on the occasion. 

The event concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Bindu Samuel, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, parents, teachers, and students for making the celebration a memorable one.

Excellentia 2K26 served as a proud celebration of talent, perseverance, and academic excellence, inspiring every student to strive for greater heights.
