Sarvonapulari 2K25 - Onam Celebrations
The spirit of Onam came alive at Sarvodaya Vidyalaya ICSE during the vibrant “Sarvonapulari 2K25” celebrations held on 27 August 2025. The campus was adorned with colorful floral carpets and festive decorations, capturing the essence of Kerala’s grand harvest festival.
The program was graced by Shri. Gireesh Puliyoor, renowned poet and writer, who was the Chief Guest for the occasion. The event was also attended by Prof. Dr. Shirley Stewart, Principal, Rev. Fr. John Muruppel, Bursar, and Rev. Fr. Koshy Chirakkarottu, Associate Bursar.
The celebrations began with a solemn prayer song, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The Principal, Prof. Dr. Shirley Stewart, delivered the presidential address, emphasizing the cultural significance of Onam in promoting unity and harmony. In his address, Shri. Gireesh Puliyoor inspired the students with his insightful words on preserving tradition while embracing creativity. Rev. Fr. John Muruppel, Bursar, and Rev. Fr. Koshy Chirakkarottu, Associate Bursar delivered the Onam messages to the students.
The event featured a variety of cultural programs including Thiruvathirakali, Vanchipattu, skits, and musical performances that showcased the richness of Kerala’s heritage.
The celebrations concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the management, teachers, and students for their collective efforts in making Sarvonapulari 2K25 a memorable event. The day truly reflected the essence of Onam – joy, unity, and gratitude.
