Scouts & Guides

Bharat Scouts and Guides is a voluntary, non-political educational movement for young people, open to all without distinction of origin, race or creed in accordance with the purpose, principles and method conceived by our founder Lord Baden Powell in 1907. All activities in BSG are based on four pillars – Character training, Health & Strength, Skill development and Service to others.

The purpose of the movement is to contribute to the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual potentials as individuals, responsible citizens and as the members of the local, national and international community.

Sarvodaya Vidyalaya started Scouts & Guides movement in 2016. 24 Scouts and 25 Guides are the currently registered active members in the unit. The main programs conducted by our unit are – Kitchen garden promotion, Residential camp, Special Day activities, Training on marching and pioneering, Talent search programs, Patrol Leaders training programs etc.

Sarvodaya Scouts & Guides are proud members of Bharat Scouts & Guides (BSG). All activities are monitored under the leadership of Scout Master Mr. Binoy Wilson, Guide Captain Mrs. Lauretta Nettar and Guide Captain Mrs. Annie Cuckoo Melwin.

In the academic year 2024-25, the Scout and Guide unit of Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, with 50 active members, continues to uphold values of discipline, teamwork, and service. Our students participated in a one-day training camp at St. Mary’s School, which enhanced their skills and preparedness. Weekly meetings are held regularly with enthusiastic student participation.

The team proudly took part in both the Independence Day and Republic Day parades, showcasing their dedication and commitment. Through consistent training and involvement, our scouts and guides are growing into confident, responsible young leaders.
