  SCHOLA BREVIS-THE OFFICIAL RE-OPENING OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2017 – 18
Schola Brevis-the official re-opening of the Academic year 2017 – 18 of Sarvodaya Vidyalaya Schola Brevis- the official re-opening of the Academic year 2017 – ’18 of Sarvodaya Vidyalaya was conducted on 19 June, 2017. Rev. Fr. Devassy Paul, Principal, Loyola School, was the chief guest. In his inaugural address, he exhorted the students to be humble and simple like Isaac Newton. He also said that a teacher plays a very significant role in bringing out the hidden talents of a student. Students dressed up as great personalities like APJ Abdul Kalam, Dr. Radhakrishnan, Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru. Flags representing academic literature, sports and arts were wanted over to the Captains. Rev. Fr. George Mathew Karoor, Principal and Rev. Fr. Antony Raj, Bursar, were the other dignitaries who adorned the dais.
  SCHOOL BLESSING CEREMONY
The formal blessing of the school was led by His Excellency Most Rev. Vincent Mar Paulose, Bishop of Marthandam. An inspiring message was conveyed by the bishop highlighting the cordial relation that should be maintain between the teachers and the students which was a vision seen by the former President of India and educationist Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. As a sense of gratitude to the reverend fathers, sisters, animators, teachers and students, Fr. Antony Raj, Bursar, delivered the vote of thanks. The Bishop showered the institution with his blessings. The blessing ceremony took place with all its glory and grandeur.
  WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY 2017 - 18
The world environment day was celebrated on June 5, 2017 with all its relevance. A pledge was taken by the students and a poem about saving our mother nature was recited. A brief message was conveyed to the students on how to take care of our environment and a poster competition was conducted on the theme ‘Conservation of Environment’ for the high school students. The highlight of the day was the planting of saplings in the school premise by the students in the presence of our Principal - Fr. George Mathew Karoor, Bursar – Fr. Antony Raj and teachers.
