Dr. James T Joseph

Dr. James T Joseph took over the reigns of Sarvodaya Vidyalaya School as its Principal on 1 June 2020 immediately on his retirement as Associate Professor of Chemistry from the prestigious Mar Ivanios College (Autonomous), Trivandrum. Mar Ivanios College, the flagship Institution of the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum is a pioneering educational Institution in the State of Kerala. With an exemplary teaching experience of 32 years out of which 18 was at St. John’s College Anchal, Dr. James retired as the Controller of Examinations which he completed with utmost sincerity and integrity. His journey as a teacher started from P. M. T College, Tirunelveli District, Tamilnadu. In addition to this he has teaching experience in Mount Bethany English Medium School, Mylapra, Pathanamthitta and in a public school in the Royal Kingdom of Bhutan.

He has been a member of the Board of Studies in Chemistry and Chairman for paper valuation and practical examinations in the University of Kerala. He has attended many national as well as international conferences and seminars; and has published research papers in international journals. He is a renowned Quiz master and resource person extending his academic competencies in Schools and Colleges. A person with very affable demeanour and pleasing manners, he is very active in the social and spiritual circles of the society.




Fr. Koshy Chirakkarottu is the Bursar and Local Manager of Sarvodaya Vidyalaya. He was ordained a priest on December 27,1999 by his Beatitude Moran Mor Cyril Baselios Catholicos, the then Major Archbishop - Catholicos of Trivandrum. He holds bachelor’s degree in philosophy and Theology from Kerala University and from St. Mary's Malankara Major Seminary, Trivandrum. He secured British English Language Certificate from Lingua Franca International in 2006 and did his Introductory Psychology course at the Macomb Community College, Ml, USA. He also secured Licentiate in sacred Theology (STL) from the prestigious Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum), Rome. He was the Local Manager of MSC Schools, at Thumpamon and Nariyapuram from 2002-2006. He worked as the Director of Religious Education (DRE) at St. Anne Elementary School, Warren, Ml, USA from 2008-2011. He also availed his pastoral services in the TACOM-LCMC of USA Army. From 2011-2016 he did his service as the Chancellor of the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum. At present, besides his service in Sarvodaya Vidyalaya as the Bursar and Local Manager, he is the Director of Girideepam Convention Centre, Mar Gregorios Renewal Centre and St. Alphonsa Hostel in Mar Ivanios Vidya Nagar, Trivandrum.
